LAS FLORES DE LA GUERRA, 2013 (THE FLOWERS OF WAR, 2013)

Una película que vi recientemente en la televisión, pero que es del año pasado, es "Las flores de la guerra" de Zhang Yimou, el director chino mas conocido internacionalmente gracias a la calidad de la mayoría de sus películas (me declaro fan suyo). En esta ocasión se trata de un relato acontecido realmente durante la invasión de China por Japón, la masacre de Nanjing. La película no exenta de crudeza (es una guerra, todas lo son), narra como conseguir  la redención gracias al sacrificio, que de otra manera no seria posible. En este caso, la  de unas prostitutas para salvar a las más indefensas, las estudiantes(vírgenes) de un colegio que les dan cobijo en la iglesia (institución protectora en esta y otras muchas épocas de la historia de los conflictos bélicos) junto con un enterrador (Christian Bale) que hace lo que puede por sobrevivir y se ve llevado a tomar parte del destino de sus protegidas, de la barbarie que siempre supone para la mujer un conflicto bélico, sea la época que sea. Película interesante de ver.

A movie I saw recently on television, but that is last year 's " The Flowers of War " by Zhang Yimou, the Chinese director more known internationally for the quality of most of his films ( I declare myself a fan ) . This time it is a story really happened during the invasion of China by Japan , the slaughter of Nanjing. The film is not without its rawness ( is a war , all we are ) , tells how to get redemption through the sacrifice , that otherwise would not be possible . In this case, a few prostitutes to save the most defenseless , the students (blank) a school that give them shelter in the church ( protective institution in this and many other times in the history of warfare ) together with a mortician (Christian Bale) who does what he can to survive and is led to take part in the fate of their protected barbarism that women always supposed to a war , it is the time . Interesting movie to watch.

AMOR,2013 (AMOUR, 2013)

 Una de las películas mas aplaudidas de este año, ganadora del Oscar a la mejor película extranjera y otros premios más (ver cartel de la pelicula ) y su director Michael Haneke galardonado con el Premio Principe de Asturias 2013 a toda su carrera, llena de éxitos, aunque para un público quizás poco numeroso, algo que cambiará seguro a partir de este año. La película trata sobre una pareja de abuelos, de su vida cotidiana, de como se complicará a partir de una desgraciada circunstancia que afectara a ambos, y que cambiará su vida hasta las últimas consecuencias. Rodada con un ritmo lento, pero con un hiperrealismo que a veces nos conmueve y otras nos asusta, pues todos supuestamente llegaremos a esa edad en la que se encuentran los protagonistas, y espero que no nos veamos en las mismas circunstancias. Una muy buena película, muy sensible, que estremece en algunos momentos y nos remueve la conciencia en otros. Muy aconsejable de ver, pero cuidado con las personas muy sensibles. Por poner alguna pega, quizás el final.

One of the most acclaimed films of the year, winning the Oscar for best foreign film, and director Michael Haneke won the 2013 Prince of Asturias Award for his whole career full of successes, though perhaps for a little audience, something sure that will change starting this year. The film is about a couple of grandparents, their daily life, as complicated from an unfortunate circumstance that affected both, and that will change your life until the end. Shot with a slow pace, but with a hyper sometimes moves us and other scares us, because all supposedly get to that age where they are the characters, and I hope that we are not in the same circumstances. A very good movie, very sensitive, that trembles at times and we removed awareness in others. Highly recommended to watch, but watch out for very sensitive people. To take some hits, maybe the end.

LA NOCHE MAS OSCURA, 2012 (ZERO DARK THIRTY, 2013)

Una de las últimas películas que he visto del Videoclub ha sido, y ya tenia ganas, después de las buenísimas críticas recibidas, es la últimas película de la directora de "En tierra hostil". La película trata sobre la investigación que hace la  C.I.A. para detener a Osama Bin Laden y la posterior captura de este. Basada en hechos reales como todos sabemos, y también (supuestamente) en documentos confidenciales e incluso declaraciones de algún participante en la operación, nos muestra a través del personaje ficticio de una investigadora de la agencia de inteligencia americana, como fue el desarrollo de la operación. A mi la película no me ha defraudado, tanto las escenas de la captura como toda la fase de la investigación, están muy bien rodadas y la película tiene una calidad excelente. Muy aconsejable su visionado para mayores de 18 años por supuesto.

One of the last movies I've seen the DVD movie has been, and I was eager, after received rave reviews, is the latest film from the director of "The Hurt Locker". The film is about research that makes the CIA to detain Osama Bin Laden and the subsequent capture of this. Based on a true story as we all know, and also (supposedly) confidential documents and even in statements by a participant in the operation, shows us through the fictional character of an investigating agency of U.S. intelligence, as was the development of the operation . To me the movie did not disappoint me, both capturing scenes as every phase of the research, are very well shot and the film has an excellent quality. Highly recommended for your viewing over 18 course.

GRAVITY, 2013

Una de las películas que he visto últimamente en el cine fué Gravity, del director Alfonso Cuarón, con George Clooney y Sandra Bullock. Esta película en concreto tiene el atractivo de estar rodada para y en 3D, por lo que para disfrutarla en su totalidad es obligado verla en este formato. De lo contrario la película pierde bastante atractivo, pues la  historia aunque a momentos angustiosa y con mucho dramatismo, no da para demasiadas alegrías. A momentos espectacular por las imagenes espaciales que nos ofrece, sin embargo no está, al menos en un primer visionado, entre las que me han  entusiasmado durante este año.

One of the movies I've seen lately was in film Gravity, directed by Alfonso Cuarón, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock. This particular film has the appeal of being filmed for 3D and, so to enjoy a whole is bound to see it in this format. Otherwise the film loses quite attractive, because the story though distressing and very dramatic moments, do not give too many joys. A great space for images that gives us time, however it is not, at least on a first viewing, among which have excited me this year.

RUSH, 2013 (RUSH, 2013)

El fin de semana pasado fuimos a ver al cine la última película de Ron Howard, que nos retrata de la forma mas fiel posible, el duelo deportivo que mantuvieron en la pista de Fórmula 1, Niki Lauda y James Hunt    . La película es muy entretenida en todo momento, y a través de esta historia podemos conocer detalles sobre la vida del conocido (sobre todo por su grave accidente) piloto Niki Lauda, y también sobre su contrincante en esa época James Hunt. Los dos interpretes lo hacen francamente bien, y las escenas de carreras no se hacen pesadas, pues se centra en otras facetas de la vida de los personajes. Para pasar un buen rato y conocer mas sobre la vida de estos dos grandes pilotos.

The past weekend we went to the movies the last film by Ron Howard, who portrays us in the most faithful possible sporting duel remained in Formula 1 track, Niki Lauda and James Hunt. The film is very entertaining at all times, and through this story we can know details about the life of known (especially grave accident) driver Niki Lauda, and also about his opponent at that time James Hunt. The two performers do really well, and the racing scenes are not heavy, as it focuses on other facets of the lives of the characters. To have a good time and learn more about the lives of these two great drivers.

GUERRA MUNDIAL Z, 2013 (WORLD WAR Z)

Este finde fuimos a ver la última película de Brad Pitt "Guerra Mundial Z", en la que se enfrenta a una epidemia de lo que ellos denominan zombies. La película es muy entretenida y no aburre en ningún momento, todo lo contrario, tiene momentos en los que estas a punto de saltar de la silla. Planteada como una posible saga, deja un final abierto. La película no tiene un exceso de sangre o vísceras (propias de este tipo de películas), lo que en cierto modo se agradece, y se centra mas en la acción. A las incondicionales de Brad les encantará, aunque los años no pasan en balde, para nadie.

This weekend we went to see the latest Brad Pitt movie "World War Z", which is facing an epidemic of what they call zombies. The film is very entertaining and not boring at any time, on the contrary, has moments when you're about to jump out of the chair. Raised as a possible series, leaves an open ending. The film has an excess of blood and viscera (typical of this kind of movie), which in a way is appreciated, and focuses more on the action. At Brad unconditional love them, but the years take their toll, for anyone.

LOBEZNO INMORTAL, 2013 (WOLVERINE INMORTAL, 2013)

La última película que fuimos a ver este verano fue "Lobezno inmortal", o sea, y según propias palabras del actor protagonista en una reciente entrevista, no es una segunda parte de la anterior "X Men  Origenes, Lobezno,2009", que no le gusto mucho personalmente, sino una especie de comienzo en la saga del popular personaje. Decir simplemente que a mi me gustó mas la anterior "Lobezno"  y que en esta la acción y el ritmo brillan por su ausencia, con un argumento nada innovador, y bastante floja en su desarrollo. Esperad a vídeo para verla, y os ahorraís un dinerillo.

The last movie I went to see this summer was "Wolverine immortal", that is, and as lead actor's own words in a recent interview, it is a sequel to the previous "X-Men Origins, Wolverine, 2009," not much like me personally, but a kind of early in the series of the popular character. To simply say that I liked more the previous "Wolverine" and that this action and rhythm are absent, with an argument nothing innovative, and quite loose in its development. Wait for video to see, and less and save you some money.
